Demand Generation Manager — Series A — AI Infrastructure Startup

Location: Remote, with occasional (2/month) meet ups in San Francisco

The Role

This is a hands-on Demand Generation Manager role focused on building and scaling pipeline. You’ll own campaign execution, channel strategy, and pipeline outcomes across both demo-driven and PLG motions.


You won’t be responsible for the entire marketing function or brand strategy. Instead, you’ll work closely with the founder and a senior Product Marketing partner who owns messaging, positioning, and content. This role is about turning strategy into execution and results.


If you like being close to the numbers, running experiments, and building a repeatable demand engine from the ground up, this role will be a strong fit.


What You’ll Do


  • Own demand generation programs tied directly to pipeline targets
  • Plan and execute campaigns across paid, ABM, email, webinars, and lifecycle channels
  • Drive demo requests and PLG signups as core success metrics
  • Test, learn, and scale 1–2 core channels before expanding
  • Partner with Product Marketing to activate content through campaigns
  • Build and manage campaigns hands-on, with the option to bring in agencies later
  • Work closely with Sales to score, route, and convert accounts into pipeline
  • Track and report on funnel performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI


What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)


  • A clear, repeatable demand engine tied to pipeline outcomes
  • Consistent delivery against a defined monthly pipeline target
  • Strong performance in a small number of core channels, with a plan to scale
  • Tight alignment with Sales and Product Marketing on ICP, campaigns, and results


What We’re Looking For


  • 3–6+ years of experience in B2B SaaS demand generation or growth marketing
  • Proven ownership of pipeline targets, not just top-of-funnel activity
  • Experience running campaigns hands-on, not only managing agencies
  • Comfort operating in a Series A or early growth environment
  • Strong analytical mindset and fluency with CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Curiosity for technical products and developer-adjacent audiences, even if you’re not deeply technical


Bonus Points


  • Experience marketing developer tools, APIs, AI platforms, or infrastructure products
  • Exposure to PLG motions alongside sales-led growth
  • Familiarity with ABM tools, enrichment workflows, and modern GTM stacks
